Home Visits

Doctor's bag

House calls are reserved for patients who are either too ill to attend the surgery or housebound and have a problem which, having been assessed by the doctor, requires to be dealt with at home.

Please try to telephone the surgery before 10:00 as this assists greatly in the planning of the home visits.  The receptionist will require details about your problem to help the doctor assess the priority of your call.

Routine house calls are generally undertaken between 12:00 and 15:00.  We appreciate that you may wish to see a specific doctor but this may not always be possible.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
